Law Enforcement Exploring is a hands-on program open to young men and women who have completed the 6th grade, ages 14 through 20 years old, that are interested in a career in law enforcement or a related field in the criminal justice system.

The program offers young adults a personal awareness of the criminal justice system through training, practical experiences, competition, and other activities. Additionally, the program promotes personal growth through character development, respect for the rule of law, physical fitness, good citizenship, and patriotism.

The Explorers meet every Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Plainfield Police Department, excluding holidays.

Please contact Officer Van Heeswijk at (815) 267-7225 for further information or click more information about the Police Explorer program.

An application for the program can be picked up during regular business hours at the Plainfield Police Department.
