DEVELOPMENT/IMPACT FEES

The Village of Plainfield is committed to working with the development community in creating a business friendly community and attracting new quality development to the community.  In 2010, the Village adopted the “Plainfield Business Plan” and comprehensively lowered impact fees across the board. The previously adopted annexation, traffic, municipal, and beautification fees were eliminated.

The following fee schedules for the Plainfield School District, Oswego School District, Plainfield Park District, and Oswego Park District are provided along with a fee calculator for the convenience and benefit of the development community. In addition, please find a summary of the Village’s remaining impact fees which are limited to building fees and sanitary and water tap-on fees.

When planning a new development or construction of a new residential unit, fees for the school, park, and Village should be calculated into the total cost of the project.  Please note:  This information is provided as a service to the public and is subject to change.  The actual school, park, and library obligations due will be confirmed on a case by case basis by the applicable unit(s) of government, etc.
